Mother’s Day Gift Guide

One of the most important figures in a person’s life is their mother. My mom has taught me so many important lessons and is still teaching me today. Though her nagging might drive me up the wall, I love her and that will never change. Her free-spirit and positivity about life has inspired me to live life to the fullest. Thankfully, on Mother’s day we can truly appreciate them for all they do on a day-to-day basis. Whether you are giving her some flowers and a card or taking her out for brunch, here are some gifts for every type of mother.

MOMMA ON THE GO

Long Champ Large Le Pliage Tote: This tote is the perfect everyday bag for anyone on the go. It is a pretty large bag without looking huge under your arm. It holds everything you need and the inside is easy to clean and take care of. I love this bag because I can carry everything I need with me: my wallet, camera, water, sunglasses, and makeup bag. This bag comes in a ton of colors which you can personalize with your mom’s favorite color.

Vans: These shoes are the best on the go shoes. They are easy to slip on yet super stylish and cute depending on the color you choose! My mom has a few different pairs of these style of shoe and she adores them. You can dress them up or down depending on your style. Don’t let the fact that they are Vans scare you. Trust me, your mom won’t be seem at the hottest skate park next week. This style of shoe has recently become very popular and has been seen from many other brands such as: Sperry, Steve Madden, and Sam Edelman. There are tons of different colors, styles, and embellishments to choose from so you can find the best for your mom.

Phone Case: Personally, I love changing up my phone cases from time to time. These Sonix phone cases from Nordstrom are protective and always have the cutest designs. It is a practical, yet cute gift that anyone would love. I am always looking for new phone cases. My mom is all about floral patterns so I know she would love this one.

FIT MOMMA

Fitbit: For anyone into fitness or health, a Fitbit is the perfect gift. These step counters have completely transformed the fitness world over the past few years. Not only do they count your steps but they can track your heart rate and calories burned. Though I have an older version, I love that mine lets me know how many miles I have walked and serves as my alarm clock in the morning. If your mom loves to hit the gym and doesn’t have a Fitbit yet, she won’t be disappointed with one!

Sip by Swell Bottle: Having a few gym essentials such as a favorite water bottle is always important! These water bottles are great for anyone hitting the gym. During  long workout, they keep my water ice-cold which is exactly what I need. Not only do they keep your cold beverages ice-cold, but your hot beverages stay steaming hot as well. I also love the variety of colors and patterns they are offered in!

COOKING MOMMA

Cocktail Book: If anyone knows my mother, you know she is the queen of the kitchen. This goes for cocktails as well. She is always concocting new recipes in the kitchen and I know she would love a cute cocktail book like this one! Not only does this serve as a great guide but also the perfect decoration for any bar/bar cart in your home. Mom’s need to relax too so treat her to this book!

Cheese Board: I’m not sure about your mom, but my mom loves entertaining. She loves filling our home with our best friends and family which I admire so much about her. Our front door is always open to anyone who needs it. I know we are having company over when I see her assembling her classic antipasto platter filled with olives, cheeses, and meats. She is always using boards like the one I have linked to display her infamous platter. I love this wood and copper set, super trendy and functional for your kitchen.

FASHIONISTA MOM

Perfume : Perfume is a classic gift that you can’t go wrong with. My mom’s favorites are Euphoria by Calvin Klein, and her variety of Jo Malone cologne. I have linked the “Mimosa & Cardamom” cologne which is one of my favorites. You really can’t go wrong with any scent they offer. I love them all and they are great to stack and pair with other fragrances.

Alex & Ani Bracelet : Alex & Ani has you set for a Mothers Day Gift. My mom, sister, and I absolutely love these bracelets. From our beloved Chicago teams to the Hawaii bracelet we bought on vacation, we have one for every occasion. I love stacking my bracelets and hearing the jingle all day. On the back of the bracelets it had 3 words that describe that bracelet. Try to find one that describes your mom! I love mixing my gold and silver bracelets and sometimes I will add in my beaded bracelet from them. If you’re having a difficult time choosing just one, they sell the bracelets in sets as well. I can’t get enough of their jewelry and I know if your mom wears jewelry she would love one too.

MAC Set : Whenever I go to the mall with my mom, we always have to stop at the MAC Cosmetics counter. She is a total sucker for anything they try on her. What girl doesn’t love being dolled up? I love doing her makeup when she is going out with my dad or her friends. My skills have improved since I was a 6-year-old wanting to play beauty shop with her mommy. My moms makeup collection probably is about 75% MAC Cosmetics. The makeup sets they offer are such a great value at the price they sell them for.
